This is one of my favourite commissions I’ve ever done! It was a surprise birthday gift for the Head Brewer & Distiller, Clay, from his Mom, Anne. Their building and brand colours are so eye catching and fun to work with! I really liked drawing their astronaut van since it’s artwork I always admire whenever I see them out and about! I also snuck my Brother and Dad onto their patio having lunch - I originally drew them drinking iced tea since neither of them drink alcohol but my brother said he’d be having a coffee so I swapped it out for him!

It wasn’t until I was working on this commission that I learned that @moonunderwaterbrewery is owned by Clay and his parents. Growing up in my parents restaurant, I really appreciate businesses that are family run and especially love illustrating them. Have you ever had their beers? My favourite is the Creepy Uncle Dunkel dark lager. Speaking of...it might be time to crack a beer open!
