Exhibiting at the Fairfield Gonzales Community Association

Whenever I see my art showcased, I can’t help but think about how drawing changed my life. I began drawing all of our favourite places for my Mom when she was transitioned into hospice because I wanted to celebrate the life she built for us here in Canada. I was surprised when I realized that our most treasured memories didn’t take place on grand vacations abroad, but rather at our favourite park bench or coffee shop down the street. After losing her, I coped by continuing to draw and had no intention of sharing my work.
.
When Erik, the owner of Township Coffee @townshipcoffee , convinced me to hang a couple drawings up in his coffee shop I had no expectations. I definitely didn’t expect so many people to connect with my art and to ask me if they could purchase prints! I scrambled to learn how to build a small business and it has been so rewarding. My Mom always wanted to become a working artist and it feels like we are doing it together now. Thank you so much for helping me make this dream a reality! 🌈
