The owner commissioned this for her husband as a Christmas gift! His family has owned the @dutchbakeryvictoria for 64 years. My favourite part of illustrating this was going through their catering catalogue and drawing their wedding cakes! I was so excited to receive this commission because my mom used to take me to go buy a big box of Elephant Ear Cookies after our own restaurants’ lunch rush. I used to do many extracurriculars and my parents were focused on running the restaurant, so being able to spend a dedicated afternoon together was always special!
