"The Cullens Don't Come Here" is dedicated to one of the best people I know, @bonnienethery! After my mom passed away last year Bonnie dropped everything to fly from Ontario to British Columbia to take care of me and my family. I think it takes a truly remarkably person to be able to do that. We love Twilight and used to watch it in university together whenever we were stressed out. We were laying in my bed watching Twilight when I realized that we were only a few hours away from Forks, Washington. I was so thankful that Bonnie brought her passport because four days later, we were at La Push Beach yelling movie quotes at each other! Looking back on these photos bring me so much joy. When we went I was so exhausted from grieving that it was a welcome change to just enjoy our road trip, take in nature and above all else, quote and listen to the Twilight soundtrack as we drove around. I think it was the first big step we took in healing together, so seeing this bookmark go out in orders now always fills me with joy and peace!

When my best friend and I drove to Forks, Washington, we wanted to visit the visitor centre for information on local attractions. Unfortunately they were closed, but a gentleman outside told us about the nearby Crescent Lake. He told us that the lake is so cold and so deep that it never gives up its dead. Despite the eerie ghost story, we had a lovely stay at the Crescent Lake Lodge and thankfully saw no ghosts! This is what inspired “The Coldest Lake” and “Crescent Lake”.

Living in Victoria, we can see the Olympic mountains across the water on a clear day. I love seeing those snow capped mountains! “Olympic Reflections” is a homage to our beautiful landscape!
