I have a few distinct memories from when I attended Chinese school (after regular school on weekdays) and Chinese watercolor painting classes (Saturday mornings) here.
Being in the front right classroom and the teacher showing me how to tie my shoelaces for the first time. I must’ve just upgraded from velcro.
Waiting after class at the front gate for my parents to pick me up. Our restaurant was just up the street (the back of it was in view) and I remember thinking “this is so stupid I can just walk there myself”.
Reading a story that was something like “the big lambs are at the bottom of the hill and the little lambs are at the top of the hill” and wondering why on earth I would ever need to tell people where the lambs are.
