I’ve been thinking a lot about how my mom always encouraged me to do whatever I felt like learning that week. I had a phase where I would crochet like crazy, making whatever I could find patterns for! My mom was a knitter and always loved making scarves and dishcloths. This meant many trips to the yarn store. We’d always make an afternoon of it: she’d pick me up from school, we’d go stock up on yarn and then have a couple bowls of chowder or split a fish and chips across the street at @willows_galley_1980. My mom loved seafood and could never get enough. Thinking of these memories always brings a smile to my face, and I couldn’t resist drawing this little gem tucked away in #estavanvillage in #oakbay!
